sweet! A nice 2 or 2.5 inch cowl would really set that car off. My bro had a 91 (I believe that's the year) notch. Was originally a 4cyl 5sp car, but someone swapped in a 5.0 before he bought it. He picked up a set of GT40 heads out of an Explorer from a junkyard and mildly ported and polished them himself. With 3.73's and full exhaust (with longtubes), the car ran low 12's. He took some weight out also.

The car was a rocket for what it was built from. He traded it and it was eventually wrecked, but the motor is in someones fox GT right now, still tearing it up (with other stuff done to it now). He has an 85 lx now, carb'd 306 (I believe that's the size). The turbo he is putting on it is set-up for 30psi With the cam in the car now, it'll never get that high, so he has to re-pulley it. He has a nitrous plate for the carb also that he was originally gonna put on his 89 ranger which has a 306.

your going to have a hard time efficiently tubo'ing a carb'd motor, your gunna lose almost all of your boost through the vents in the carb and its a b**** to get the fuel curve even close
and the ford 5.0 is a 302, so unless the motor is bored out a bit its prob still a 302

Thats a awesome bike. Is it a triple? I want to go to deal's gap. I know some guys that have been there and say its awesome. I looked at the triumphs but the wider frame of ducati's fits me better.

I miss my CR500!!! I'm still holding out for my perimeter frame CR500 from California. The problem is that I have to cough up $10,000 to get it.
