We are using room trusses so we will have a nice storage area up there. Look back at the first picture on page 4 of this thread, they are called foundation straps. They serve the same purpose as bolts and they meet code here.

My back is still hurting from all that shoveling I did. No, I don't have a plow or snow blower. My grandpa was not in the construction business but I believe he knows more than most construction business owners.
