6.2liter v-8 diesel

Is the 6.2 v8 diesel found in mid 80's chevy's matched with the turbo 400 auto any good, anything I should look out for?

I have the chance to buy either a

1. Former Military M-1031 CUCV converted to 12 volt
’86 Chevy K-30 4x4 dually 8’ flatbed
Dana 60 front axle with manual hubs, GM corp. 14 bolt Rear axle 4.10:1 ratio
34.xxx ORGINAL miles

OR

2. ’84 Chevy K-30 4x4 pickup
8.5’ BOSS rt-3 straight blade snowplow
6.2 liter v-8 diesel engine
Turbo-400 automatic transmission
New Process, part time 4wd #208 chain drive transfer case
Dana 60 front with manual hubs, GM 14 bolt rear end with 4.56:1 ratio and
Detroit locker center section
Engine coolant heater
59,000 actual miles
Runs very good / drives decent
Military M-1028 CUCV with 24 volt charging and starting system
