When I was looking at the Grandstand at the Columbus power show I could easily lift the front as high as I wanted. How much weight would you have to put on the front of it to keep it from doing this? I weigh 260lbs. How does this effect the cut? Does it make the tires track/rut? I really want a 60" and look forward to demo'ing one this spring.

Any idea how many pounds the weights were? I have never seen a picture of the weight kit and am curious. Is there one? Is it an assortment of weights? Thank you.[/quote]

Not sure exactly but it is a kit with one weight then you can add up to 2 more. It bolts on the front cross bar in front of the engine. I had 2 on total but will be going with three when I buy. I am also 6'2" and 262lbs.

It's not really a fair comparison , they really are 2 different classes of machines.

I've only demo'd a ZX for 2 days .. VERY Fast, but I wasn't happy with the cut at higher speeds, much better at lower speed. Really hard on fuel as well. not enough time on it to really give a thorough review. Fun as hell with all that power.

The 48" Grandstand we have has been very good. I weight 195lbs and haven't had any issues going uphill. It's been very reliable. very good cut quality. the controls seem a bit better. More comfortable on bumpy terrain.

The deciding factor was the price, In Canda the ZX is almost $4000 out the door. A fairer comparison would be with the standard Stander (We had a 36") , in which case I think the GS wins hands down.

Just my 2 cents
