I'd love to have a V6 4x4. Just not an option in Canada. V8's only. Perhaps that's for good reason, but for 90% of the time my truck is driving, it's not towing, or hauling anything heavy except for my lard as$. 90% of the time, I wouldn't need a V8. However, I wouldn't plow with a 1/2 ton around my area.

for that size trailer you should be fine with a V^. my ranger has a 4.0L V6 and it tows fine
