How many miles can you expect out of a Duramax?

I aprreciate everyones input. I do lawncare and I have a baby on the way so I need somethin that dependable for work foremost, dependable for my baby to ride in. I don't wanna be broke down on the side of the road in August with no A/C and a 2 month old in the back.

The dealer bought this from a business that sold trailers and golf carts. The business went out of business, so He picked it up from them.

I had a 6.5L V8 GM diesel in a 3500 extended savanan (with insulated box and reefer on roof) that just turned 1million kms, or 600K miles before I traded it in. The drivers door fell off three hours away, and I never would have expected that which is why I decided to sell it. I'll also add that it would smoke heavily when you pushed the throttle down over 50%, even in low rpms. At around 75% throttle it would downshift and black smoke would be everywhere.

You can get a much cheaper gasser with low miles that will be cheaper to maintain. There's no way I'd spend $11k on a truck with that many miles. Screw a dealer, check ebay/craigslist.

Untested sight unseen he probably paid $5000 for it. I'd offer him $9k cash take it or leave it. You need wiggle room if the engine torpedos on you.

No way would I ever buy a truck unless it was a class 8 truck with 200,000 miles .
btw how do you know its only got 200,000 on the truck that might have been a year and half of hot shot trucking before they unplugged the odo just a thought .
