So I am at a convenience store yesterday, picking up a nice fresh java, a guy sees my truck, next thing I know flagging me down not to leave and starts asking me about decorating a tree at his home this year. Go figure, I was headed to look at a driveway excavation project and got asked about holiday lighting, in March. Wow and I was afraid the service would not work here.

We sold work in January, neighbors and friends that saw us doing the take downs.

I have had more than a few inquireies as well. The important thing in this biz is to have advertising on trucks year round and quickly follow up on any off season leads and close sales even in march -september. Those folks are usually pretty serious about lightinng and hiring someone. My goal this year is to try and start out of the gate with 10 new customers before Sept 1st. hopefully that will ease pressure on me in the "on season".

We just finished up yesterday. In Illinois, we had a hard winter for removing xmas lights. Even yesterday, we had some gutters that were still full of ice and had to chip away to remove the lights.

We got 21 left to go! Your right there was a lot of ice in the gutters. And we had here 52" of snow this winter!
