This is ridiculous, there are Thousands of miles of "chip seal" roads through out North America that take heavy traffic/snow plows/ just about what ever you want to throw at it.

Yes I am bias, as I am in the Business, Check out some work done by the outfit you are looking to go with. O&C/Tar Chip can be a great alternative and save you a few bucks.

Gravel Rat, Base is everything, regardless of what you are putting on top of it.
