I'm thinking about getting a Huskee

Dont get a huskee it is just mtd, craftsman, troybilt ayp crap. Go for a cheep old used wb I see old ones go for like 400 or get a project mower and fix it. You will thank yourself when you are not stuck with huskee chit. So here is my advice in the most simple form DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AYP CRAP

I understand the concept that you have to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run. BUT.(changing the reference to weed-eaters here) A person that buys a $100 trimmer, just to get started, will buy a P.I.A. and then will pay $350 for a dependable, easy to start trimmer that lasts for years. Therefore WASTING time and money, while trying to learn to walk.

A couple years ago there was a thread in the homeowner forum about a Huskee that was continual problems for the owner. The deck was the worst problem. Have a look at that thread before you buy.

My Bro in law mows a few accounts part time. He bought a new Huskee 2-3 years ago and it was a POS from the get-go. You get what you pay for.

I stumbled across a JD 345 with 625 hours on it (at the dealer) and gave him $2000 for it. All I've done is replace the deck wheels and blades (and one belt) when needed. Shop around at the dealers and you can get a good used mower that will give you a lot of service.
