20 min lawns are pretty small. For that reason I'd pass on the ZTR unless your turf is really tough stuff. There just aren't that many ways to vary the mowing pattern or avoid turning at the same point in corners, which over time can leave wear. But it can handle some in that time range, plus 30 minutes is not too small probably.
The stand ons are probably less damaging, more nimble, and the Toro Grandstand in particular can swing into walk mode if you run into a customer with "ride on mower" issues. They can do wide open areas pretty well. The downside is you can't tow carts or aerators with a stand on, it won't handle wide open mowing with quite as much ease, and standing is still harder on knees/feet than sitting. Most of the year, it's not that big a deal, but down here in July/August sitting helps you recover energy in the heat. |
