Thanks Tadpole excellent insight to pond management I have tried to get the property managers to introduce biological solutions such as carp but they seem to never follow up and then when it is a total eyesore they have a knee jerk reaction and want the chemical solution, there is some other evasive weed also that keeps the pond from circulating well and I'm not sure they have a large enough aerator/ fountain but perhaps this article will win them over. Do you know where I can find the chelated form of copper? thanks

Either Aquatic Ecoystems (1-877-347-4788; AquaticEco.com) or Easy Pro (1-800-448-3873; EasyProPondProducts.com). Both carry a wide selection of algaecides and herbicides for aquatic applications and both are very knowledgeable in this area. Describe the symptoms and they will recommend the safest and most effective treatment. Work on the property managers to set a preventative program, it is cheaper in the long run.
