Wright stander bogging down

So my guys came in today and said that my 2005 48" wright stander is bogging down intermittently. They said it was running fine then almost felt like it was sputtering or not getting enough fuel, but only when the blades were on. I checked this out and sure enough it zooms around just fine when the blades are not engaged but once they are it seems like it wants to die? I am new to this mower and not sure where to start. Trying to avoid taking it in at this point but I may have to as mowing starts full swing next week. Thanks for your thoughts.
