i have an '87 chevy suburan the cruise control works but to set it is a pain in the a$$ the button on the controls is broken how do i take it out to replace it?

The non-cruise models are such that the turn signal stalk just pulls out,, no idea what hte setup is with cruise though. Try a solid tug on the stalk and see if it pops out of the steering column.
