I read it and basically it said the deck has to be squeaky clean and let it dry, and spray it and let it sit over night, which is what I did and it failed, so I'm not putting it on my deck anymore, or letting it touch the body of my truck either, it disintegrates truck paint. But other than that, I use it for lube

It doesn't completely keep the grass off, but I bet you can take it back down to the metal with little or no work.

I had similar results. I sprayed my clean (Hustler 42) deck with two coats of FF. Grass build up was the worse I had ever seen. The only good was it came off easier.

I am also hesitant to try it again...

Okay, let's get a few things straight. Fluid Film does NOT harm paint. That is false information and information that I will not let pass.

As far as preventing grass build-up, we've received numerous testimonials as to its effectiveness. If it's not working that well for you, just don't use it. If you have a particular type of grass that you're trying to cut or whatever the situation is that prevents it from working well for you, I don't know what to tell you. Here is a thread discussing how well it has worked for many others: http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.p...eck+fluid+film

If you're looking for a cure all for your mower deck, good luck trying to find it. Fluid Film's main function is to prevent corrosion. It's also an excellent lubricant and penetrant. The fact that it has helped to keep grass from clumping under a mower deck for numerous professionals is just a bonus for them and a testament that it can work.
