While trying to remove duplicate posts, it happenned that some real posts were deleted, for a reason I still ignore. If your message was in a thread whose ID is lower than 500, it is highly possible it was deleted.

I will try to back up all posts I can, but those that weren't on the old forum may be lost

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience caused to all users on this forum.

I've backed up all data I could.

If your message was lost, please repost it.

If you encounter a problem with the new forum, please report it either in this thread or to Chuck; I'll do my best to solve it.

Regards,

Pierre-Luc Soucy

New Posts

With the old forum we could set new posts before leaving the site. Not sure if I'm saying that correct because I can't remember what the button was called, but we were able to erase the new posts so that the next time we signed on, there were only new post markers on those that were since that time. Can we do that now? How? Thanks!

Can't exactly tell you, but I think that when you come back to the forum in another browser session (i.e. you have quit your browser between the two visits), only forums with new messages for you have "yellow" buttons, while the others have "gray" buttons... About threads, there's an arrow in front of them when they have new messages. If you click on the arrow instead of the thread name, it will automatically go to the first unread message.

As I wasn't member of the previous forum, I can't really tell you, but hope this may help.

If you have any other questions or want to precise/simplify your previous question, don't hesitate to ask .

Regards,

Pierre

There were two different ways to reset the messages, on each forum, you could click "Resest Messages" or on the main page "Reset all Messages". I like this setup better. You did good Pierre, this software is great.
