Alliance Super Sand

My supplier carries this brand of poly sand (Alliance Super Sand). Any first hand experience with this product would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

This is what we have always used (except the Unilock version on one job) and it has performed very well for us. The only downside, which is probably common to all brands, is that there is always a very fine dust the is left behind. I cannot seem to sweep it away and while a blower helps, you can't blow it enough without blowing some of the sand out of the joints. The residue is not real bad and wears off in no time. As for durability of the polymers, I had to take apart a section of a walkway that I put in two seasons ago this past week for an addition. What I thought would be a quick 10 minute job, took over an hour. It took ten minutes just to get the first brick out. The rest came out in groups of 3 or 4 bricks and then I had to scrape the sand off the edges of the bricks - no easy feat!
