Grass man, thanks for you in put. Ive been in this bizz for a while and do very well in wv. I feel i am prepared. Ill hv all legal lisc and permits and ins before i arrive. I have plenty of equip. I will be totally legal and set run run. The reason i posted on here is to get some positive pointers so i can be a lil more prepared for the area. I figured being legal and legit would bring more professionals to talk to me about the area...lol but maybe im wrong. I have help several people get started in this area. Ive helped people in louisville,ky columbus, oh charleston, wv, ...i just was trying to get some feed back bout the area...thanks

You got a whole lot of very good advice. You should be very well prepared for what to expect in the area. I'm not sure what you were expecting us to say. That it would be a cakewalk and you should expect to be able to take over the market? South Florida is tough. There's a million Cubans down there and they're all looking for work.

Congrats on the license thing, thats a wise move. A 72 wont serve you very well here. Most properties are smaller with lots of landscape. a 50ish mower is considered big. I wouldnt want to push anything here in the summer. Just sayin' You understand when you get here.

If you can get 35-40 a cut and get a lot of accts in close geographic area, that lets you knock out 10-25 cuts day, you'll do alright.

It wont happen with a walk behind though. Not in this heat.

You need to update your "specials section" on your website. It dates back to May of 2007.

If you have a Velkie, it wont be that bad. but walkin' behind a mower really sucks down here.
