Replacing pool deck

I have a customer with an in-ground vinyl liner pool and a 2' concrete deck around. The concrete was done very poorly, has many cracks and was poured at almost a 15 degree slope away from pool. I have done paver stone decks on similar applications, but have never tried to bust out the concrete after a pool was full. Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Being that it is vinyl liner with aluminum walls, I'm almost positive that simply lowering the water level slightly and jacking out the concrete will be okay. Just kind of hesitant about trying this.
