Cutting more often is better for the lawn an usually saves time in the long run. Cut twice per week and trim once.

I realize my mistake... I feel dumb to share it out in the open with everyone, but I hadn't sharpened the blades since the start of the season and they were as dull as could be. I jacked the mower up, took the blades off, and sharpened them.. I mowed about 6" grass down to 3.5" and the clippings were nonexistent, and I'm not exaggerating. This has totally renewed my faith in the 18,000 blade tip fpm that the gravely pushes!
