Troy Bilt 17.5 hp won't stay running

I got it to start one time, but it cut off after about 30 sec. Now all it does is spin the engine part (I can see it through the screen on top). Also it makes a buzzing sound from the engine. It has been sitting in a friends shed for a couple yrs.

But generally speaking the carb is trashed. You need to clean/rebuild it or replace it.
