ezdumper

I was thinking of picking up a dump insert for my 1985 Chevy K20. I already have a dumper, but would like the versatility of one of these units. Mostly for mulch, leaves, and grass clippings while mowing. My question is how much do they cost? And is it dollar smart to get an aluminum unit? Or is it stainless steel?

The EZDump inserts around my way are $1895 installed.
I only know the aluminum ones are more, but they are made by a different company (Truck Craft or something like that ?).

Up here they are between $1800-$2000 plus installation $150-$200). I have heard that they are pretty easy to put in so that would save you a couple of bucks. Keep an eye out on e-bay they are up for auction from time to time.

Had an insert in my F-250 1988 for four years now. Great investment and easy to use. I'll go up to 2 yards topsoil in it.
My cost installed at a dealer was 2004.00, that was some time ago. Steel construction. Prefer driving it myself.

No Truckcraft!

I have a truckcraft and they do not stand behind anything. Ezdumper is the way to go and yes get aluminum! Stay away from truckcraft!

The "Little Tipster" from Del Hydraulics costs a few hundred bucks more than the e-z dumper but it has the telescoping hoist and it holds more material than the e-z dumper. The ram on the e-z dumper sits under the unit, so it takes up like 6"-8"(appr) of wasted space under the dump unit. Yeh, it's cheaper than the little tipster but the extra bucks you pay will be worth being able to haul more material in the long run. See Ya

Hey Ken!! How's the snow? I remember looking in the truck trader.....there was a co. in there selling a dump system that fits right under the bed, that way you won't lose any space as with the easy dumper. Just a thought. I know a few guys on the Cape that have them and swear by them. I believe the co. that sells and installs is in New Bedford/RI area.
