Mascot, logo, trademark, emblem, icon are all interchangeable terms. How many of you guys show up to meetings with property managers in a shirt and tie with a briefcase? That's a professional image right?

Did you look at his website? His current logo choices would not match the image his website gives. Although the website is simple and pretty two-dimensional, the font, format, and layout are clean and attractive. The 3 logo choices are too childish for the company image he has now.

Your right, regardless of what image and font he chooses they do have to match. Won't debate that point. Continuity and flow go a long way in the overall look.

Im all for the goat, It makes people rember you and thats what your logo is all about. How many plain jane company logos do you see on this site that you never remeber.
But you allways remeber Topsies bicycle mower, Or grassman177's Toilet in his signature. No matter how silly it is it makes people remeber your name. A LCO in this town has a big red jackedup dodge truck and its says BIG AL"S all down the side of the bed. Every time I talk to someone not in the mowing "circle" they all ask if Big Al is one of my customers. The guy hardly does but mabey 20 yards. But everyone sees his truck and it sticks in thier heads.

I like #2. Even though it hides some of the goats' features it shows him eating his way through the grass!

If you like logo's great for you. I'm not a big fan of logo's. When it comes right down to what matters, Continuity is what matters the most. From all aspects of your business everything should flow together.
Trucks - same color, make and design Uniforms - workers, clean bright, fully lettered front and back, both tanks and short sleeve in summer. Uniforms - Manager clean bright, chest embroidery on polo shirts All employee's wear the same boots, safety glasses, headphone hearing protection and all shirts are same color. Equipment - Same brand = same color all commercial Toro Trailers - Same color and manufacturer with same design and lettering as trucks I like the goat idea, make it big on your truck. Its about getting noticed and remembered. For all of you out there how many company trucks do you see everyday with company logo's on them and a name and not much else, I would bet hundreds if not thousands like around here. My point is that we see so many boring trucks on the road everyday that we don't even pay attention to them. Make your trucks stand out!! and everything else that you do. My trucks alone bring in as many calls as all the other advertising I do combined. The reason - They Stand Out!! Last edited by lawnpro724; 01-09-2011 at 02:09 PM. |

I like the font from #2. I would keep a goat, but a different one. The name is catchy, keep it.
