referal business
I got a good response from door hangers...
Under normal conditions, how many referrals might I expect once I start cutting? (not to rely on this but I'm curious, I don't want to spend more on advertising than I need too). Thanks, ...Mike... :blob3: |

In my experience, it takes quite a long time before you begin to get good, regular referrals. For the first several years I really wanted referrals like crazy. But I almost never got any. It wasn't until just 2 or 3 years ago that we finally got established enough and had enough clients to begin to get regular referrals. Now, it's a pretty good percentage of the leads we get. But it took some time to develop a name for ourselves and to have worked for hundreds of people, before that finally happened. If you are just starting out, I'd say, don't count on getting any referrals. Count on getting all of your business from other kinds of advertising. Then, if you get a referral, just consider it a bonus.
