Adjusting website design

I made a simple website with a home and contact page. The home page has my phone number, a single picture, and mission statement. I have a visitor counter on the bottem of the pages also. I made this site as a temporary layout just for my post card mailout. I will be editing the site throughout the year with project pictures and testimonials.
My home page counter had 18 visitors. I had a post card mailout of 1,000 and today my counter says 125. However, the contact page says 28 views.
Do you guys usually have an equal number of visitor views on each page or do you think it isnt a big deal? Makes me think people didnt spend much time on the home page...

Site visits and bounce rate

Hey man just a quick reply here, I'll send you a PM later today.

The first page your visitors arrive at - or the landing page,
will get the most views, from that point on some will click
on other pages and some will exit.

If you have 100 people come to your homepage.
Only 30% may go on to the Contact us page, so 30 people.

Not to say only 30% were interested in your services,
because your phone number is also posted on the homepage.

There's many factors involved, your site needs stronger focus on
getting the customer to pick up the phone and call.

I completly agree with Norb. Your website is lacking a call to action. Unless you have an offer on your postcard, either your website or postcard should have a discount or a reason why they should pick up the phone and call you.

Your site overall looks very good. Maybe you should add Google Analytics to your website so you can remove the counters and get much more detailed reports. It is free so it can't hurt.
