Choosing a business name that is also primary key phrase???

I've been in business for 11 years and recently decided to change my name from Progressive Lawn & Landscape to Progressive Lawn Care. It's only been changed for a couple months...lol, but now I am thinking of choosing the primary key phrase (locally) and changing it to that. I can't really get any number on how many times that particular key phrase is searched for, I just know that it is the most popular here locally (in this industry). The name is already owned and is for sale for $600. My current website is not ranked at all, but my homepage is in google's #9 spot and Bing's & Yahoo's #5 spot for the primary key phrase right now. I just thought if my domain and name of my business had that primary key phrase....I would gold.

Thoughts?

Did you try looking at the Google Keyword tool page and entering the phrase in the box there?

Yes, but I don't know how accurate that is.

If I type "Beaverton Landscape design" and it says like

landscape Beaverton 2400

Beaverton landscape 340

design Beaverton 10

For monthly totals, I'd consider that pretty reliable since Google has no reason to fake results. Their advertising revenue hinges on the accuracy of that stuff.

Keyword Rich Domain Names and Switching Websites

Stop! Progressive Lawn, you're domain name ProgressiveLawn.com is 8 years old now,
do not jump ship! Also you do not need to rename your business to utilize another domain name.

You can easily register WichitaLawnCare.com for example and setup a simple 3 page website
to generate leads for your business. Just make sure you do NOT exchange links between the
two sites.

Now the 2 - 3 page website can specifically target that one keyword "wichita lawn care" to match
the domain. Also if you were to move your site over, in order not to loose rankings, and end up
with google displaying broken links to the old site, you'd need to setup 301 redirects (gets more technical)
More info in this video on forwarding domain names.

I should actually write an article specifically on this topic.

Lastly, no offense to Panda32, but be cautious of anyone that claims they'll put you
on the "first page of google", "top of google" or "#1 in google".
There are too many people that don't quite know what they're really doing...

Same old talking point that anybody and everybody out there seems to promise.

That phrase sounds fishy these days.

But I'll tell you what I think is a good idea ...

Folks who promise the top of Google for ANY keyword, should guarantee it for about 6 months. And take half their pay now, and the other half in 6 months if the website is still on top of Google for ANY keyword.

Plus, a FULL refund if the website does not reach the top, or falls from the top within about 45 days.
