Sick of goundskeeper, QB?

I am tired of using the antique Groundskeeper Pro program, it is just so choppy and I feel like I am stepping back into the 90's everytime I use it. I would like to use something more streamlined and user friendly, there are just too many steps to do certain things that are seemingly simple. I am very good with Excel and other office programs (college boy here)

Anyone gone from groundskeeper to quickbooks and what are your thoughts?
I am even half tempted to just setting something up in excel at this point...

I have around 100 customers and primary billing is lawn care, I use my own excel spread for scapes
