We have a wacker 1550. Its a good little compactor. We like ours. Nothing major has ever gone wrong with it. I can't exactly remember how long we have had it but its been at least 5 years. I would recommend the wacker but I have never tried that specific bomag.

Buy whatever brand has parts more readily available in your area.

Either brand will have the same engine.

We have a Wacker 1550. Just replaced the rubber isolation bushings back in the fall. Wow what a difference! I have a thread with pics of the replacement here at LS.

mrusk and dvs need to get in the octagon and settle it once and for all. Or a more civilized route would be to have a beer and hug it out. You guys are very pissy towards each other.

MRusk has been ok lately, he's much calmer and tolerable, yet he's far from being stronger

He just bought himself a big 'ol wacker.

That was the most backhanded compliment I ever heard. Very DVS.
One of the first threads I read on here was about "Tent City" and I haven't been the same since.
