Enclosed Trailer wheel width 'upgrade'

Does anyone know if it is possible to put a 15x6 wheel (with a 225/75 15 tire) on a 97 Haulmark Thrifty Hauler trailer when it originally had a 15x5 205/75 15 setup on it? I'd like the extra safety margin, and the wheels seem to be in a much better supply around me. The wheels (AND TIRES) are the originals on the trailer I bought last year, so it's time to replace them. Rusty and dry rotted real bad, surprised I didn't experience a tread separation/blowout last season!

It LOOKS like I have the clearance in the wheel wells, just wanted to see if anyone has ever done this upgrade.
