If you buy both the tractor and bagger at same time the Simplicity dealer will cut you a deal. I saved $150.00 on my bagging system when I bought my Regent 22/44. The bagging system is very well made. You don't really need the turbo system unless you cut tall wet or tall lush grass. Only time the tube might clog. I use the gator blades on mine, mulch excellent. Has a tight turning radius 14". Got 260hrs on my Regent, only replaced deck belt when a pine cone got caught and made it jump the pulley damaging it, otherwise all good.

I also like the Simplicity mowers. They just seem to be built a cut above the rest.

That should do you for at least a couple of years. What is the model name? I'm not a big fan of Briggs engines but if you put a decent oil filter on it you'll probably be okay.

One of the rollers has to be replaced on the deck, and some TLC. Looks like the same deck my Regent has, just a different width, mine is a 44". Some of the earlier Regents from the late 90"s early 2000's came with Briggs Vanguard engines I believe, can't tell from the picture of this tractor if it has a Vanguard. The Vanguard is a true commercial quality engine, for home use the tractor will wear out before the engine does.

Offer the guy $350-400. You can get parts for it on-line at Partstree.com. Much cheaper than the dealer on most parts. Good luck with your tractor quest.

Does the tractor have a hour meter? If it has less than 500 hrs it should be a good deal. Have the guy take the deck off (they come off very easy, 5 min.) and check the spindles for excess play. If they move a lot the bearings probably need to be replaced. My deck has three blades, as long as you use the grease fittings on the arbors and grease them every time you sharpen the blades or change the oil the bearings will last a long time. Still have the original bearings on mine.

Reybread211 dose have a very nicely striped yard. Smaller stripes are more popular and arguable look better. Reybread211 should invest in a commercial 21 inch mower if he really wants his yard to pop.

Yeah, but we don't know how big his yard is, which may be why he wants a tractor. The Simplicity's are well known for striping well, and he's on a budget anyway. A new commercial 21" will set him back $1000.00. He can get the used Simplicity tractor for $400.00.
