Just another photo of a Fluid Film use:

I purchased a cordless pole saw for a little touch up at a temporary residence. I am away from home and my saws. I did have the foresight to travel with my Fluid Film pump though.

That's neither spicy brown mustard, nor caramel sauce in the oiling bottle on that scabbard.

I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Have any of you used Fluid Film in lieu of bar and chain oil in a gas saw?

honestly i have zero experience with using a chainsaw. i know it's not the same thing but i use ff on my table saw, chop saw, sawzall, drill bits and gas hedge trimmers, it keeps all those kinds of sharp edges and blades sharp, clean and lubricated so...

i can't tell you what to do but i know if i did have a chain saw of any kind i wouldn't think twice about using ff on it

Bar oil is closer to motor oil. I sure wouldn't put FF in my crankcase.
