Let's see. Working on jobs 10-11 hours a day. Customer meetings at night from 6:30ish to 7:30-8.... home at 8, invoicing and estimates till who knows when, I shower and eat if I can.

Still feel like I'm bleeding cash for some reason.

I am flat out slammed. Booked easily into May....I am seriously too lazy right now to resize and post them... just in clean-up/mulch-mode basically, like everyone else... Estimating some sweet properties and have some nice tree planting jobs in the next 1-2 weeks. Will get pics. Doing some huge Hemlocks and American Hollies. ok, I'll post a pic from today. one sec...

Typical clean-up and mulch.... we have to finish this tomorrow. I WAY underestimated it. Threw in the towel using all our mulch today (sometimes I like to prep an area then mulch, then prep and mulch again...to switch it up a bit on the job) and just prepped all the beds all around the house for mulch tomorrow- so we can just focus on mulch and not edging/trimming/clean-out.

Had fill in 120 Liriope in spots on this house as well, with soil addition, tilling, etc... fairly boring.

Hey man awesome looking mulch job. What did you use on the tree ring in the last picture to edge? Its not very deep I am guessing thats because you did not want to hit roots. Did you just use a trimmer

A spade. Just nicked off a tiny one due to the roots. That whole tree ring was full of Poa Annua and fescue "weeds"...

I do not work on Sundays. I will do estimates/invoicing or run to the shop but no jobs. So 6 days I guess. but always doing something work-related I guess. Like everyone else...

I hear ya perfect earth.. this biz is 24/7. I am a golf superintendent in NY at a 36 hole facility... for me it is non stop this time of year!!

I hear ya! I worked grounds at a golf course growing up. And at my old employer, I built, grew-in, and maintained a 6-7 acre backyard "practice facility" you gotta see to believe. Wish I could post some pics of it for you- but I cannot. 36 holes is quite a responsibility! What is the name of your facility?

I edited the name and number out of this sign I saw yesterday. It pretty much speaks for itself. I was got a good laugh out of it. Talk about trying to pull one over on the customer.... That'd be like me telling people I include the brown in my mulch.

Perfect earth: It is Drumlins country club in syracuse ny.. its 18 private/18 public.. getting ready to go aerify the private side... deep tine half inch, with top dressing. Going to be a long fun day today.
