baseball grass questions?

i just picked up 8 baseball fields at a JR sports compound and was wondering what a good height would be to mow them at.. i normally mow all my yards at 3.25 to 3.50 would that work or should i go lower?

it depends on how often you are mowing. rule of thumb is never mow more than 1/3 the green leaf. The leagues typically like mowing between 2" and 2.5 inches which in my area means mowing twice per week.

Im in south eastern ohio and the mowing is once a week... I mowed the first cut at 2.5 so ill probably bounce between that and 2.75
