thinking about a new truck.

Well at the moment I have an 03 chevy 1500 and I get around 9mpg when towing. and i drive 45 miles(one-way) away once a week to cut grass. I found an 06 chevy 2500hd diesel with 146k miles for 25k. I am a car guy so I know it has the LBZ duramax which is the best(right before the dpf and emissions). I am worried about the miles alittle bit, not so much engine and trans, but more of the other components on the truck. I have a degree in automotive technology so I know alot about vehicles ( but i also know that i dont know everything). So the point of the thread is to get opinions on the truck, and to get specific details to look at. any info would help.
