2 JD X304 questions

Hi,
I have 2 questions regarding my X304:
1. I have a 42 inch deck. What size socket is needed to remove my blades?
2. I have a small grease gun and Lucas Heavy Duty Grease http://www.lucasoil.com/products/dis...0Duty%20Grease. Is this grease appropriate to use for the fittings on my John Deere? Do I have to use JD Grease?
Many Thanks!
