Havent towed the work trailer yet, but with the 2011 4wd 5.7 Tundra w/towing package including 4.30 gears, towing the 5th wheel it gets 9mpg at 70mph. 5th wheel weighs about 7200#s. Pulls it like a champ. No need for desiel here.

Wait. This is too much. You thought 8 or 9 mpg was bad, and you have truck getting 5?

yeah thats right keith but its not a mowing rig just a truck we use its a big differance.
I was just saying i seen some bad numbers when i drove it . its a 73 model 5500 chevy with a 454 i guess and a 2 speed rear end . we only use it in one town for tree removal work on small trees its a 18' flat bed dump ........ I have since located a 1.5 ton ford truck with a 351 and a dump, its a smaller truck overall but the milage differance is alot better at 13 mpg loaded......... I have for sale the old truck 1000 cash
