Help finding a replacement carb

Model of mower Deere GT245

Serial number M00245B162099

Engine number FC420V-F500 FC420VA99489

Carb part number AM117379

The tab on the float is broken, a rebuild kit will not fix the problem

You may have better luck in the repair section. They may be able to send you in the right direction!

Might want to try taking the carb off and looking for the brand and model number. Walbro's site has schematics with complete breakdowns of parts and rebuild kits, as well as selling the whole carb. Sometimes it's easier to go straight to the manufacturer of the carb instead of the mower.
