Mulch, Seed, & Fertilizer Mix

Can that stuff be ran through a broadcast spreader?

If the product is dry, open the spreader all the way. Experiment a bit with your speed.
and the size of the opening.

Also, it might say on the bag what setting to use on your broadcast spreader

If you want, put down a big tarp and practice. Then you can pick up the product and use it again


Mostly though, that stuff is used as a spot repair. Rake the bare soil a bit and then grab a handful of the
stuff and throw it down. Then step on it and water it.

which type did you have in mind? Scotts easy seed is granular and includes a lot of water absorbing granules. There are many types of products out there. Let us know which product and how it works out. Thank you.

The shredded cardboard stuff, dries out quickly and dries the seed along with it... I've seen DIYers put that stuff out and never saw it work once... but I suppose if it was water every 10 minutes maybe...

RigglePLC, I was thinking about trying that Scotts eZ Seed tall fescue mix. It comes in a plastic bottle or in a bag for the larger quantities.
