Coverage of sealcoat on new pavement
Hello I was wondering the coverage rate of sealcoat on 1 year old asphalt that has never been sealcoated. I was thinking mayber 50 sq ft a gallon but I dont know. I dont wanna bid it for my normal rate and not have the sealer go very far. I also have to squeegee all of it on. Thanks for any replys.

Are you using coal tar or AE with or without sand?

If you are using Coal Tar Emusion Sealer i would say...
The main issue you are dealing with is a combination of the porosity of the pavement, the grade (size) of the asphalt material and how tight it was compacted during the installation of the drive. Also how much dilution agent (water) are you adding the mix meaning what mix design ratio you are using. |
