If i were to buy a Komatsu PC-18 could i put a hydraulic thumb on it? If i can put one on it is it going to really slow down the hydraulics?

a 24" grading bucket might be fine....
but for digging you want to go no more than 16 to 18.

I think it would handle a thumb. I also think a 24" bucket would work well, and I have see guys have 30" clean up buckets on this size machine as well.
But remember, the thumb is going to add weight to the stick and the bigger the bucket load that you can get on the machine, the more tippy and unstable its going to be. J. |

Just looked it up online, that seems very similar to my Kubota u15 in size
I have a thumb on it and it handles it no problem plus I have a 38" wide clean up bucket that is perfect for many jobs like back filling moving volume ect... |
