Tires question

question - What does the 24 measure in a 24-11-10 tire? Can I put a 22-11-10 tire on where I currently have a 24-11-10?

thanks,
Evan

what does second # in tire size stand for?

thanks! I'm also wondering if I can put a 24-12-10 in place of a 24-11-10. Not sure what the middle # stands for.

thanks so much!

thanks so much grasscommander!! I decided to go with a 22x11x10. Do you think this will affect handling or anything else due to the lesser width (current tires are 24x11x10). God bless you, mostaza.
If you get this, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could say yay or nay while I can still cancel my order, but if not, no sweat. Thanks for all your help.

Shouldnt really affect the handling, just make sure when you go to put them on the mower that you measure the deck hight front and back and the adjust it to that height after the new tires. It shouldnt change it that much but you want to make sure that the front of the deck is not higher than the rear. What tires did you order and where from? I want some that size for my toro.

tiresunlimited.com is where I got em. Good price - 150 for the 2 of them + 20 bucks for air shipping. I got Carlisle turf masters. It was about time I got turf masters as I've had turf bosses on my dixie chopper and they do nothing but tear up the ground it seems. Thanks again for all your help!
