Screening it sounds like a good idea, I'm just not sure how that would help break it down. I'd probably screen the final product and add the overs to the new pile.

I like the idea of the molasses...I'll look into that. I've also been looking into red wiggler earth worms, these things are supposed to do a number on compost and turn it into fine black gold.

PERFECT! The larger chunks that you add to the new pile are GREAT at inoculating the pile and quickly introducing your hungry fellows to the new found food.

add in some wood chips to get some air in it...they will break down and have plenty of N
