Starting an irrigation co. in florida?

My husband is wanting to start his own irrigation company. He has done this type of work before for awhile. We live in Marion county florida. Does anyone know the steps he would need to take to start his own company in marion county? Thank you!

Check with your county contractors board. If its like Hillsborough you have to sit for the state contractor exam and then apply to the county with 2000 verifiable hours employment with irrigation or plumbing. Its county specific. Pasco on the other hand doesn't care what you do after the BFP is installed by a licensed plumber.
