Wire colors and zone numbers on the valve body....hmmm.... Not bad ZXdude. We might learn something from you after all.

Those numbers will deteriorate over the years. The best method is an as-built with color coding indicated. The rule (mine) is to NEVER change colors on the run to the clock.

in Texas the rule is to use any color wire you want, as long as it's red
