It's heavy, but actually not that much heavier than the gas mowers. I just looked up the Hustler super Z 31 and 37 hp with a 60 in deck and they weigh 1515 lbs. So my diesel weighs 85 lbs more. 85 lbs is def the added touque of the diesel.

So its def not that much more than a gas mower. I trader in my gas Wright stander b/c it was running 1.6 gallons of fuel per hour and this Hustler Diesel runs .6 gallons oer hour. And no it doesnt rut anymore than any other mower Ive ever used.
Nice looking mower but Dang 1600 lbs in a 60''
my 60'' is 980lbs gas even my 72'' is under 1300lbs gas

Still nice looking mower

What mower do you have? From my research a lot of the 60in and 72 inch mowers weigh in around 1300-1800 lbs. Even the gas Hustler weigh about the same as my diesel.

Ill go through and try to come up with a few actual weights on some mowers.
