I don't know who you're trying to fool here but I can tell you, what you say is totally not true. There is no way centrifugal force keeps them balanced. All that does is keep them straight out from center. It has nothing to do with the balance. I think there's a reason why nobody uses them.

We have a magna matic, and just leave the blades on the disc, just put them against the disc and sharpen, just like sharpening 2 sets of blades at one time, a little pain in the neck, but no more than x-blades. I was paying $110 for a set of dixie chopper x-blades at the chopper dealer in Sulphur Springs, they didn't seem to last very long, set up just like a standard oregon blade, no fusion treatment or anything. They seemed to make my motors work harder too, so far I have been using megs this year, and I have 10 other guys running them too......so far we are impressed. The main plus is the sheer start of the blades, isn't near the strain of the doubles, I guess cause the disc makes up most of where the blade would have been. My only negative is the rattling noise when the blades are off driving around, and they seem to wear out the lift on the blades more than the fusion blades we run stock, other than that they are cutting dudes down here. I talked to some of the cut specialists at bad boy, and they said the blades didn't work very good in their area, but down here they seem to cut well. oh, my complaint is the blow out is more with these, especially being as dry as it is, they are throwing dust everywhere.
The cost isnt really a factor unless you get them and dont like them, its only $60 to replace your blades on the Meg-Mo's, so no more than any factory blade... Seems in the past posts people usually love them, or flat out hate them.

Just buy another set of blades, install them (now 2 sets) and cross them. You can mix and match high lift with low lift, or two high lift (more or less vacuum), or one set bent and one set straight (for an inline cut), or regular and gators, or double gators for leaf mulching.

You get more blowout with double blades then you do with the megmows. trying to bag leaves is where you will notice the difference.

You have to disassemble meg mow blades to sharpen. First check the balance of the center disk. If you can see a nick on it you can bet it is out of balance. Weigh the blades and re assemble the unit. Otherwise you will have balance problems. I really didn't like working on them very much. We were heating the bolts then using lock tight to reassemble the units.

You do not not take the knives of the disc to sharpen . I am dot lazey but we use the best lock nut that we can buy and also put red lock tite on the them. Do not take the knives off until you wear them out. The blades are balance when running wether you want to think so or not. Centrifugal force does it just the same as what most truck wheels are balance by. I use centrifugal balance on all my cars and trucks also. Some one said they had vibration on there mower. You may have a spindle bent and if there is one of our blades out of balance call us and we do fix that.

Im looking into a set of these for the fall, but I dont know how you can say that they are balanced when spinning. If a blade on one of the four is 1 oz less, I am certain that is not balanced, and it WILL wear out your spindles..I know this is an old thread, Im just trying to do my due diligence before purchasing. Also, it seems that the money back guarantee is somewhat misleading with the shipping and a 20% restocking fee. Is this still the case?
