My area was evacuated

My house is too close to the Great South Bay, (Long Island) so we were given a mandatory evacuation. Went 2 miles north to MIL apt, 2nd floor. We didn't lose power here but do not know what happened at my house. Answer-machine does answer so have land line and power it seems.

Worried about the 2 pine trees 100 feet tall on east side of house. That was the power winds at storms start.

Will still be windy from other direction rest of day into the night.

Hope all are well.

Hey Green Monster how'd you do out east? Long Beach and Brooklyn got pounded flooded. Babylon is flooded too.

Wet Boots ..... how'd you and yours do?

Not too much flooding but a lot of trees down. We lost power but I have my generator so we are good. We just took a ride to the ocean it is really kicking up. Some of my neighbors had evacuation notices but they were lower but it wasn't needed.
