Well after all this I time I finally installed the diaphram. But when I went to test the valves, I could hear a abnormally loud buzzing. Im not sure if it was only one valve or two, but both zones were on when they weren't suppose to? I replaced all wire nuts with new gel ones. What should I try trouble shooting first?

Ummm, with all the time you have wasted you could have replaced the valve with a new valve in less than 30 min. at a cost of....oh lets say no more than $20.00 if it is a 1" valve.

Is there any reason not to have done this?

If you had just replaced the valves, you'd have been done and paid six weeks ago.

The buzzing sound is the solonoid humming. The valve is getting juice. You need to do some electrical troubleshooting.
