Exmark Mulching Blades/Kit
I have an exmark metro 48" and have been thinking about getting a mulching kit installed or putting mulching blades on it or both. I only side discharge right now and am curious about experience from other exmark owners. Been looking into gator blades but my problem with mulching blades or a mulching kit is that if the grass gets too tall then I will have to double cut or will leave clumps. I cut all of my accounts weekly and the only reason I am looking into this is to eliminate grass clippings but if this is not possible without double cutting or clumps then I can live with that. Any experience is appreciated

Good mowing
Take a look at my web site . MEG MO .com . With the MEG MO blades you will not have to worry about grass on the yard.

36" TTHP. Have never had the mulch plate off. That being said, yes if the grass is tall you may end up double cutting it. We mainly cut bermuda down here, but do have fescue too. The only blades that I like for cut quality are the Eliminator style. I have tried several different styles of mulching blades on it, although in the fall these blades don't mulch leaves as well and i switch to a standard mulch blade.

These blades look very impressive, price looks very steep though. For my 48" deck I would need three sets of the blades and at $100 each plus shipping we're looking at about $320, did I read that right?

Unless the grass is super tall and over fertilized, I've been very impressed with the stock Exmark blades and mulch kit. Does very well in wet grass also...just not so well with thick lush spring grass. You may end up double cutting some areas.
But it's a lot easier than bagging.

Meg Mo blades
The price for the blades on a 48" deck are $59.95 @. Price sound a little high but we will out wear 3 to 5 sets of the blades you are using now and then we will only sell you the knives at $4.95@. You wil not need to change blades for spring summer or fall.

How much for a full set for a 60" exmark? This is for a xseries which has new spindles that require a larger hole in the blade.

-Do the megmo blades change the cutting heights on the exmark? If so, by how much and up or down? -What is your return policy if I'm just not happy with them? |
