Radio

I am fixin' to buy a 93 c1500 but I am confused as to how I would go about installing a CDplayer. The radio controls are just behind and to the right of the steering wheel but the tape deck is almost on the opposite side of the dash.
I have a relatively new pioneer deck I wanna stick into it but I like the controls next to the wheel. Is there any way to install a deck and use the CD player off it and the radio from the factory. or use the controls there to control the CD player. I am kindof a newbie and would apreciate any input!
