Is this torpedo grass

Is this torpedo grass? If so I am open to ideas of how to kill it...

Looks like you got the root so if you leave it there it should dry out and die.....

Looks like Torpedo. Can't kill it without killing the good grass unless you pull it all.

I've always been told it couldn't be done. If it can I would love to know how. Lots of our yards here have it.

St. Augustine is the turf type - you have a way to effectively remove it from this turf type?
